Beautiful…is anybody else looking at the magical shooting stars?
Monday night had less activity, spaced out over a longer time period. Still, if it remains clear I’ll be back again after midnight tonight.
Saw some the night before last. They got much better later in the night.
Finagle, don’t you get smart
Robot Arm, did you ever make it over to my neck of the woods?
No, I decided to try Plum Island, it’s on the coast just a bit south of New Hampshire. Listening to the waves while lying on the sand was kinda nice, but there was still a little bit of light pollution. One couple brought their dog, and there’s something slightly eerie about hearing a collar clanking when you can’t see it, and getting closer. As it turned out, he started sniffing around me and then took off like a shot when I sat up.
Oh, and there were some meteors.
Now that I know about the site in Amherst, I may head there next time there’s something worth seeing. And you, NightRabbit, good time at the lake house?
I watched for a while in Dublin last night - there were a few spectacular ones and a lot of feint very high ones that could have been due to me blinking, but it’s always exciting to see a meteor.
