Today is going to be a tough day. I don’t know if you realize, but today is a year to the day when I lost Cristi. I don’t have much to say right now; tonight a group of us are meeting at Dave and Busters for a remembrance of her. But I was in Newbury Comics about a week after I got home from her funeral and they were playing this song which has now become “her” song and seems to sum up everything I knew and felt about her.
Yes, the first anniversary of her death is bound to be hard for you. I know your life has been very difficult since she left us so I will remember her this day and wish you strength and good health.

Eutychus I wish you peace and strength. I only knew Persephone through the Dope but always enjoyed reading her posts. I think it’s great that you all are having a rememberance of her.
Ancient Egyptians believed that upon death they would be asked two questions and their answers would determine whether they could continue their journey in the afterlife. The first question was, “Did you bring joy?” The second was, “Did you find joy?”
–Leo Buscaglia
Persephone brought it–so much of it–and found it with you, and with plenty of others. She had an extraordinary life and I know many here were privileged to know her.
For what is it to die, But to stand in the sun and melt into the wind? And when the Earth has claimed our limbs, Then we shall truly dance.
–Kahlil Gibran
