Persephone

Today is going to be a tough day. I don’t know if you realize, but today is a year to the day when I lost Cristi. I don’t have much to say right now; tonight a group of us are meeting at Dave and Busters for a remembrance of her. But I was in Newbury Comics about a week after I got home from her funeral and they were playing this song which has now become “her” song and seems to sum up everything I knew and felt about her.

Yes, the first anniversary of her death is bound to be hard for you. I know your life has been very difficult since she left us so I will remember her this day and wish you strength and good health.
{{{Patrick}}}

I wish you strength through a difficult day. Best of luck.

Was just thinking about her the other day – the time when I met her a ChiDope. She had such a great spirit. Do you know how her kids are doing?

Eutychus I wish you peace and strength. I only knew Persephone through the Dope but always enjoyed reading her posts. I think it’s great that you all are having a rememberance of her.

Sending supporting thoughts to you on this sad day.

We’re thinking of you, Eutychus. We all remember Persephone quite fondly.

You know she’s in my thoughts today too, Euty. And so are you. You’re right. Today’s going to be a tough day.

She will live on forever in your heart.

Wandering through old threads, every so often I’ll come across some of her posts and she always seemed so kind and nice.

Peace be with you, Euty.

It’s hard to believe it’s been a year already. She will be missed.

Ancient Egyptians believed that upon death they would be asked two questions and their answers would determine whether they could continue their journey in the afterlife. The first question was, “Did you bring joy?” The second was, “Did you find joy?”
–Leo Buscaglia

Persephone brought it–so much of it–and found it with you, and with plenty of others. She had an extraordinary life and I know many here were privileged to know her.
For what is it to die, But to stand in the sun and melt into the wind? And when the Earth has claimed our limbs, Then we shall truly dance.
–Kahlil Gibran

My condolences. If you want prayers or good thoughts, you’ve got them.

I’m getting goosebumps listening to This is the Sea right now. I’ll have to hit repeat on TWotM a couple times.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year.

This is just so strange.

I was aware and everyone involved has been in my thoughts and prayers.

I couldn’t talk about it at the time but I really admired and respected the two of you, and felt she had done so much for me.

I would appreciate an update on her children from anyone who knows.

That’s a great photo – does a great job of capturing the mischevious gleam in her eye. Thanks for sharing it.

Thinking of you, Patrick.

So sorry, Euty.
