Persona 5

It’s a variety of issues and themes. None of the others involve sexual or physical abuse from what I remember.

In general, the dungeons follow the seven deadly sins. The others involve themes of greed, gluttony, pride, etc. One of the dungeons involves enemies that are robots representing the villain’s view of their employees (greed).

I defeated the first dungeon(palace) today. It is certainly really different than Persona 3 and 4, that had randomly generated floors. I prefer this pre-made format for dungeons.

By the way, what is up with Shin Megami Tensei V? Did anyone play this? I did this summer and compared to Persona 5(same series, but a spinoff), SMTV felt like a shell of a game.

Almost no story, almost no character development, almost no game aside from battles. It had a great battle system, but Persona 5 feels like a real game and their main series SMTV felt pathetic.

I beat it, but sold my copy on ebay knowing I would never return to it in the future.

And…it got positive reviews, if you can believe that.

It’s neat when extended or bonus editions of games give players a bunch of free stuff, but it’s annoying when it doesn’t warn you. I would prefer not to be given a massive bundle of money and items, since I don’t know how it might effect the game’s overall difficulty curve. They’re also cluttering my inventory in a period where I’m still learning the game’s internal systems - particularly in the velvet room with all the overpowered personas it gave me. It’s annoying trying to figure out if a particular item is any good and having to sort through a dozen other items with effects that I can’t even gauge yet.

The game is getting better as it opens up, though. I’m almost done with the first castle - the abuse of children is particularly disturbing and I’ll be glad to move on. I enjoy how quick and easy it is to fast travel - I was worried early on that it was going to make me navigate the subway gates every time I wanted to go somewhere.

I am just at the second boss, the one at the end of the second palace.

Anyway, I’ve tried not to summon the way advanced high level Personas. I figure their spells and powers use so much SP or HP, they are basically just going to drain my powers too quickly anyway. Are your attack powers(generic attack) affected by the Pesona you have equipped?

Anyway, hot tip. If you are having a tough time, equip everyone with the Camera Strap. If you Ambush a bad guy, just guard and you will generate 10 SP and a bit of HP back every round. Helps regenerate SP if you are really desperate. The HP gain is less since you are getting hit each round.
