When I come to the StraightDope website, I get the StraightDope Banner at the top with a horizontal menu below that and then a big ad. These randomly selected ads are clearly profiling me for some items I have viewed are too esoteric to be just coincidence. Do you disclose to the SDopers that you are collecting data on us? And, what else are you doing with this collected data?
Those are probably targeted Google Ads that follow you to any site with Google Ads. Google collects vast amounts of data on your surfing habits and then offers up Google Ads they hope you’ll click on.
Currently I’m getting a lot of ads for 3D printing and miniatures.
