“Dirty Duck” from the old National Lampoon. A #1 top level pervert if there ever was one. (I recently saw that Playboy has been running the strip. Boy, am I out of synch with that part of the world or what.)
You’re not imagining it. I think the line was “too bad I got there after the sodomy.”
I seem to recall, two or three years ago, maybe? that The Family Circus ran a Sunday strip where a nicely dressed, middle-aged man asked Dolly for directions. Dolly thought about it for a moment, replied that she wan’t allowed to talk to strangers and went into the house.
The last panel had the police in some other part of town arresting the man, and one officer calling in that, “they had caught that molester that they had been looking for”.
Pretty serious stuff for Circus.
Huh, I thought he might have said something about sodomy, but then I thought that they wouldn’t go that far. Of course, it’s Family Guy, and they’ve gone much further, so I should have known better.
Of course, there’s also Dennis the Menace.
Man, I thought I was the only person who remembered that comic. Except I remember it being Jeffy, not Dolly. Still, though… ew.
Well, Lenny and Carl seem to only have the hots for each other.
Let’s not forget Eugene and Rusty.
I just finished rewatching Azumanga Diaoh, and you gotta love Kimura, the classics teacher. He is a pevert, but at least he is honest about it - during class, one of his students asked why he became a teacher - the response? “I like to look at High School Girls.”
Hustler used to feature a one-panel cartoon – don’t know whether it still runs – about the degenerate adventures of “Chester the Molester.”
Funniest FC I’ve ever heard of, for whatever that’s worth.
Moe also has the hots for Maude Flanders.
IIRC, the cartoonist got busted for sex with a minor.
Chester the molester creator B. Dwaine Tinsley. Caution, that link isn’t work safe.
Seems like a case where neither art nor life needed to imitate each other.
Whaddaya know! I Googled and found a cite! – http://www.gapingmaw.com/60776/. B. Dwaine Tinsley died of a heart attack in 2001, age 55.
The fact that so many people in this thread are struggling to find examples of perversion in cartoons shows me that anime isn’t nearly as popular as I thought
I mean, Japan actually has a genre of cartoon called “pervert” (hentai in Japanese). And even if we leave out all things tentacled, and just focus on the stuff they show after school, there are an awful lot of fourteen-year-old-girls dating guys in the twenties.
The examples from a mainstream anime that stick out most in my mind are from Great Teacher Onizuka. Onizuka almost leaps into bed a couple of times with his students, and one teacher in the first episode has had to keep doing his practicum over and over again because he keeps having sex with his female students.
Is that something that happens a lot in real life in Japan? Do they have different attitudes towards what we consider statutory rape? Or are these toons just catering to the sexual fantasies of teenage girls?
IIRC, the age of consent in Japan is 13.
Not since 1999. Now it’s 18, 16 in some cases. See www.ageofconsent.com
The Japanese do not, however, restrict sexual drawings involving children – due to freedom of expression laws.
I remember one Spongebob episode showing him on the edge of his seat watching TV wide eyed. As Gary (his pet snail) comes in the room, Spongebob quickly flips channels and says nervously, “Oh Gary! What are you doing here! he he he.”
For a kids show, that’s pretty risque…and hillarious.
Don’t forget, Moe’s a registered sex offender…along with Patty and Selma, Freddy Quimby, and Jimmy the Scumbag.
“Aw, geez…there’s always a line for these things!”
Now does the US, if I recall correctly. Am I right?
