I deal with large numbers of .ogm files, which are similar to .avi video files. When selecting files the details bar on the left (I am using XP) tries to show a preview. I have a fast computer so it generally does not take an undue amount of time to generate the thumbnail, but it seems to be briefly calling another program to do this. In the lower right of my screen a tiny icon like a film strip will pop up and then back down.
This would all be fine, except that explorer keeps crashing whenever I have been working for an extended period of time in those windows. What can I do to disable the preview feature?
