Just Curious.
Actually, i’m an upset nobody. SadNil. I’m a teenager striving to be angst-filled. It’s not easy in this day and age. I’ve got a playstation, a VW Bug, and a professional basketball contract. But I listen to 80’s music so I’m retro enough and I listen to Pearl Jam so I can be angst-ridden.

I can’t help but think of all the people who have been smeared by Scientologists, where the individuals doing the smearing later claim that their defamations were based on “information that was given to me” when challenged on the veracity of their smears.
It’s your responsibility, both morally and legally, to validate information that has been given to you before you go acting on it. Failing to do so make you look like a shill.
I do live under a bridge and accost folks, yes. It usually accosts a high fee because I go by mileage between exits. Everything in life accosts, though.
Given that sadnil opened another thread with the statement that My wife is a vegetarian, I suspect he’s not taking arguing here, or representing his position accurately, very seriously.
A shame – I hate having people argue poorly for causes I’m sympathetic toward.

I’m going to have to look up, shill. However, the reason for me posting on SDMB is to try and validate some of the information I was given. Geez, you people really need to go back and read some more of the postings. I posted and asked questions about some strange info I was presented. I said it came from PETA which is kind of a shady operation. I said does anyone know how acurate the information I was given is, how common the practices are, and should I care about the meat I eat, anyway. I’ve not been trying to convince anyone one way or another, so, frankly, I don’t need to support any argument I’ve made because I’ve just been trying to sort out information. I’ve not at all tried to make an argument in favor or against anything.
sadnil, I appreciate that you are coming here looking for information; however, it’s not appropriate for you to tell other people to go back and read some more of the postings. The problem here is that you’ve put forward some awfully fuzzy information without backing it up; even though you later said you didn’t necessarily believe that information, at the same time you’ve come across as giving it equal weight to eyewitness testimony. That sort of thing gets frowned on at this messageboard; round these parts, you better be prepared with peer-reviewed cites for any extraordinary claim you want to make.
And be careful: although you may not realize it, you come close to admitting (even facetiously) that you’re a troll, above. The administrators have a very short fuse when it comes to such admissions, I think. You may not want to joke about such matters.

Left hand Daniel, you’re awesome. And, as usual, you make things 100 percent clear. Thank you for your observations and asssistance. I didn’t realize until your last post what what some people mean when they talk about trolls. I just remembered hearing something about that. Well, I’ll try not to be troll-like. I guess I was just giving my opinion on subjects without giving the reasons why or citing where more information can be obtained about my opinion. I didn’t realize that I should be providing more facts and less jibber-jabber. I hope, in the future, to have more time available to research items I post about. Thanks again, Left Hand of Dorkness. I’ll be careful and more true to the nature of the SDMB in the future.

As I’ve said before, I think PETA might point toward real problems sometimes, but they should never be relied on as an authoritative source.
