Peter Dinklage Rips Disney For ‘Snow White’ Remake: ‘What The F**k Are You Doing?!’

Giving dwarf jobs away to non-dwarves though….something seems wrong. See what you started, Peter Dinklage?

Apparently Dinklage works on the 'I’ve got mine, Jack" principle.

No he doesn’t

Any evidence that Dinklage had anything to do with that decision?

My impression was that he was making a joke (sort of like “Thanks a lot, Obama!”). I could be wrong, though.

Ever see “Life’s Too Short”? About a talent agency for dwarves run by Warwick Davis, but he would keep all the best roles for himself.

How art imitates life.

That isn’t happening here though.

Anyone have a rough estimate of how much the seven companions (previously dwarfs) each got paid?

I don’t know, but being low men they could not afford high hos.

Did you ever read the eight or nine other times this was brought up in the thread?

Apparently not LOL :cowboy_hat_face:

So to reiterate…

Snow White…isnt
There may be A dwarf
There’s no Prince Charming or love story

And “fairest” is a mangling to mean most moral. Which means for a while the evil queen was.

If the rumours are true you have to wonder why it is called Snow White at all.

If you are that desperate to tell a completely different story that diverges in so many critical ways, why try to piggyback on the original? It just makes you look stupid.

If you think your story is strong enough then write something original to tell it.

Marketing.

You have to wonder how well that is working out for them. It seems to be getting panned already.

Nevah underestimate da power of da SCHWARTZ!!

“The original cartoon came out in 1937, and very evidently so. There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird! Weird! So we didn’t do that this time,” Zegler told ExtraTV in October 2022.

“We have a different approach to what I’m sure a lot of people will assume is a love story just because we cast a guy in the movie. All of Andrew’s scenes could get cut, who knows? It’s Hollywood, baby,” she added of her Prince Charming co-star Andrew Burnap.

In another interview, she said: “We absolutely wrote a Snow White that… she’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love; she’s going to be dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave and true.”
