Petition for ALS didability

I started a petition on Change.org to get social security didability for non-working spouses with ALS.

I have no illusions that it will be successful. Even if it does happen, it will take too long to help my family… I do want it for other families in my position. What I need is advise on getting it noticed by people that can make it happen. I have sent it to my Congress rep and senators but there is a lot going on right now. Right now I need signatures. What is my best strategy to get the word out?
