We’ve got about a kajillion cute and/or funny pictures of Scooter the cat, but I’ll have to sift through my kittypix folder for those. In the meantime, enjoy some of the dog. We adopted a Corgi just over a month ago, and he is the cutest fella in the whole world.

Dooley!

The Corgi Flop[sup]TM[/sup]

He’s Mr. Destructor with toys; we tried buying him a squeaky football when we first got him, and he chewed the squeaker out of it in about 15 minutes, then spent the next couple weeks taking it apart. You can see the pieces there. But look how proud he is of his work!

He hurt his paw a few weeks ago and had to go to the vet to get fixed up. He was so very sad!

But most of the time, he’s a very happy dog.

He loves to play tug–really, a lot.

Here are a few videos–the picture is kind of dark in some of them, so I apologize if you have trouble seeing them.

Scooter likes to chase the ball too.

A very tired doggie trying to climb on the back of the couch.

This is a big file (27MB), but worth it, IMO. Dooley likes to play chase-me with Scooter. This game usually consists of Dooley running madly around the couch and Scooter sitting still, giving him a swat every time he comes around. I managed to catch them in the kitchen this time, where the lighting is better. As you can see, Scooter’s mostly a lefty, but he’s got a pretty mean right hook too. Chase me!

This is the Pug. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Here’s Rasputin my evil little snuggle buddy.

Here’s Cherry at the park. And here she is snuggling under a pile of warm laundry.

Damn you people! This thread just makes me realize how much I want a pet (preferably a weiner dog)! But my landlord doesn’t allow them. Oh, unless you’re the guy who lives below me, then you get to have a dog.

Apparantly, he “forgot” to tell the landlrod he ahd a dog when he signed the elase, even though I ahve a copy of the lease (i was told its’ the same for all apartments in the building) and it clearly says no pets. If I was that type of person, I might as kthe landlord if I could have a dog, citing the guy below me as a reason why I can, but I’m not that kind of guy.

matt_mcl stole my kitty!!!

Would he go by that title to differentiate himself from the cutest dead dog in the world?

Let’s see the pictures! I think it’s Daowajan’s who looks disturbingly like mine, as well.

Here’s a small album of my clearly abused and mistreated cats.

Raven & Rasputin

There’s also an “album” consisting of one picture of me. Sorry, I don’t know how to link to cat album alone.

My lease and landlord said the same thing. Then, one day, when my landlord made an unexpected visit and saw the cute little monster, she relented. She must have figured the fact that I am a neat freak, perfect tenant, who pays her rent on time outweighed a little meowing the neighbors might hear in the hallway.

On the other hand, our cat Lou came from the SPCA. The info card on the cage said “REASON FOR SURRENDERING ANIMAL TO SPCA: Landlord.”

Uh-huh.

That should read: “REASON FOR SURRENDERING ANIMAL TO SPCA: I am too stupid to read my lease.”

Please, folks, if you’re thinking of getting a pet, talk to your landlord first. Our lease said no pets, but we talked to our landlords, and they were happy to amend the lease to allow one (1) cat.

Um, in context that looks a little harsh. “Too stupid to read my lease” is just the phrasing I always use when tell the story of Lou’s adoption. I did not mean to imply that TwoOnSunday is stupid. No offense is intended, and I apologize for wording it that way.

So much cuteness!!! I’m doing to die of cuteitis!!!
