Well, please excuse me if this belongs in a different forum, but I couldn’t run a search for threads with “vs.” in the title. Anyway, the time has come for me to ask the immortal question…Could Jack the Ripper take the Phantom of the Opera in a fight?
One is a disfigured expatriate Persian Parisian with a taste for music, the other is a West End boy with a taste for East End girls. (fried, preferably)
One has a penchant for the Punjab lasso, the other has a knife that nice and sharp.
One knows the way into a woman’s heart, the other knows…well, the way into a woman’s heart.
Frederick Forsyth wrote about one, and Alan Moore wrote about the other.
One played the Pipe Organ, and the other…well, he WAS a depraved serial killer. Think about it.
So, ladies and gentlemen, I ask you…who WOULD win?

His eyes will find me there
Those eyes that burn
And if he has to kill a thousand men
the Phantom of the Opera will kill, and kill again!

I, for one, would like to see a three-way deathmatch between the Phantom, Jack, and Hannibal Lecter.
The Phantom would win. Easy. He’d Punjab good ole Jack before he even had a chance to pull out his knife.
I’m also a diehard Phantom fan, so maybe I’m a bit biased.
