I’m a 53 year old man who saw the Disney Phineas & Ferb Star Wars send-up episode last night writing this to say just how much I loved it. It hit all the correct notes right from the start when it stated on the famous opening crawl that none of it was canon so just relax. It is nice to finally know who was responsible for the design flaw in the Death Star.
If you’re a Star Wars geek or just enjoy a good spoof, be sure to check it out.
They’ve shown it several times, so I’m sure it’ll again many more and then pop up at least on Netflix. I got all the jokes and liked it (I liked Across the 2nd Dimension better), but my kid was like “Who’s Porkins?” after one of the jokes in one of the songs. The exhaust port jokes with regards to Doof are just brilliant.
I’m not a huge P & F watcher, but a friend of mine (who introduced me to the Dope) and his wife love watching it with their sons.
I also found out that one of the directors on the show was an old neighbor of ours and friend of my sister’s.
So, watching this the other night (and it really is clever!), I was pleased to see the name Sue Perrotto in the closing credits as one of the directors.
