Phone Booth: perhaps on video. No spoilers

Well that was 90+ minutes of my life I’ll never get back.

When it ended I walked out thinking, "Wah???

I t was like they had finished shooting 9/10’s of the movie and when they looked at the shooting script for the ending they said, “Christ, this makes no sense. What do we do?

And because they only had one day left to shoot, they just threw some crap together.

New York City looks even scummier then usual.:stuck_out_tongue:

I thought this movie was really good, and I went in expecting just that. However, it’s not the kind of film I anticipate everyone will like, or even most people. It’s pretty much what you expect from the previews, so I would suggest using that as an indicator of whether you’ll like it. Also, if money is an object to you, wait for it on video; this movie will lose nothing on the small screen. It lacked action, and the suspense was okay but not edge-of-your-seat. But I thought it was very creative and meaningful.

I remember that they shelved this movie when the Maryland sniper was active.

Maybe they should’ve shelved it period.

I quite liked it. At the end, I thought it had proceeded kind of predictably, but while I was watching it, I was wondering how it’d end.

But then, whenever I state on the boards that I like a movie, it turns out that it’s just me and like two other people in the world.

I personally hope this movie becomes the albatross around the neck of the careers of everyone involved, especially the markeing department. i must have seen my first Phone Booth commercial about a year ago, and everytime I watch a movie this damn preview plays. The whole idea never really turned me on and I just loathed it more and more everytime I saw it. I can recite the whole preview now and everytime I see Colin Ferrel I want to shove my fist down his mouth. From watching the previews about 100 times I think there’s more substance in Chicken broth than there is in any aspect of the movie. If there was some way i could slowly torture and then kill a non-living entity, then this movie would be it.

They should have shelved it period when another company released a near-identical movie that went DTV. (Liberty Stands Still, starring Wesley Snipes and Linda Fiorentino.)

Especially since the movie was filmed in Los Angeles.

Can somebody spoil me on this one? Just put the twists and turns in a spoiler box. Thanks.
