Yes. I have obtained one!!!
:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Cite?
It’s not really of Cecil; Little Ed screwed up the Photoshop job.

Not a comment on a column.
Moved to MPSIMS.

Ok i don’t have one… but is it REALLY true that no one has one??
Also… i mean doesn’t this dude work at a newspaper and if he works at one he has to go in right? And if he goes in he can be found?? What’s the straight dope behind his lack of photographS?
What are you talking about? Everybody with a paid subscription gets an autographed pic of him. I thought it was common knowledge.
Vampire.
You can see him in our picture gallery.
Cecil doesn’t really work AT the Chicago Reader. People used to write in questions, the CR delivered them to a drop box, Cecil picked them up, answered the ones that he found interesting and/or amusing, especially if he could insult the asker in some way, and got them back to the Reader, using another anonymous drop box. He was paid off with shoeboxes of small unmarked bills, also delived to the drop box. Nowadays, with email and electronic fund transfer, it’s even more anonymous. The folks at the Reader are grateful for these technological advances, as they don’t have to physically touch the paper that the answers are on. I’m given to understand that Cecil used to use the answers as lining for his canary cage before he sent them on to the Reader. Cecil doesn’t respect authority very much.
Since he no longer needs to check his drop box(es), I don’t know if he EVER leaves his house…or wherever he lives.
I’ve written for dozens of newspapers and magazines, and never visited the majority of them in person. I wrote a column for one newspaper for years without ever meeting a single person who worked there.
Meh, I had lunch with him yesterday. He’s actually quite boring in person.
And I’ve wondered where that picture came from. I mean, it looks like Slug drew it, since Cecil won’t let himself be photographed, but that’s all I know.
No no, here’s Cecil. Right-hand side, second from the top.
He was photographed at a Bears game once. He’s sitting two seats to Waldo’s left.
He was at the presidential inauguration, too. You can see him if you zoom in. He’s kind of near the middle.
I like his jaunty hat!
