Photoshop Registration

My computer recently had a melt down so I’m currently installing most of my programs onto my new computer. One of the programs I use often is photoshop, and for some strange reason I have the disk but not the disk case. Normally there are two stickers on the inside which has the registration numbers to enter when installing the program. Yet, I cannot find the case and don’t want want to spend gobs of money on a new copy of photoshop.

So, my question is… Is there any way I can search the disk to find the registration numbers? Where would I look?

Assuming you have the CS version, did you register electronically through the internet the first time around? If so, shoot Adobe and email, or call them, tell them your situation and they should be able to provide you with your cdkey.

FWIW, what version do you have?

Don’t know what version you’re running, but on this machine (a PC running Photoshop 5 and Windows XP), the registration number shows up in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Adobe Photoshop 5.0.

If you can still get regedit to run on your old machine, perhaps you can search for “photoshop” and see what turns up.

Sorry.

First email them, then shoot Adobe.

I have 7.0 for a PC

Do you have the manual? Mine also has a sticker on the inside of the back cover that has the number on it. I’ve had other versions that have also had it in other places in the manual.

It’s not going to be on the disc anywhere.

I now write the codes to all my software directly onto the disc with a sharpie. Makes reinstalls much easier.
