Phrases you'd NEVER thought you'd hear...

snerk!

Although I once did know a bass player who would just not shut up.

“ROCKIES WIN! ROCKIES WIN! ROCKIES WIN!”

Or mebbe I’m a little premature yet.

My contribution to musically themed rare sentences:

“No, the drummer and his wife have been married for 20 years now.”

heheheh
A more serious contribution:

“Same-sex marriage has been recognized in…”
Massachusetts. 1 down, 49 to go.

I think he meant his secretary, Notary Kojak.

Hmmm, wonder what Steve Martin’s driving these days? :stuck_out_tongue:

Apparently the Humorless Comedy Movie market.

Cute can also mean ohhh, how adorable. I always thought Sean Connery as Indiana Jones’s dad in “Last Crusade” was cute in an adorable old man way.

I always thought Columbo was cute/adorable, even when I was a 21-year-old. (Back when it was a new show, sigh). I always liked the shaggy rumpled look, as well as the good humor, compassion, intelligence, and intuition he displayed.

FTR, I’m 21 and I doubt more than five of my friends and acquaintances, total, have heard of Columbo.

I am shamed to admit that I don’t think I’ve ever actually watched Columbo, though I think I remember when it was still on the air.

After a brief GIS, I have to admit that Peter Falk WAS rather cute as a young man. He falls into my cute categories, at least: twinkly eyes, dark curly hair, prominent schnozz.

Yipes. I’m going on 29 this year and I definitely remember flipping past commercials for Columbo as a weeun in front of the glass teat. (god, I nearly typed electronic teat, goes to show)

sigh Too true… wanders off aimlessly in search of a copy of “LA Story”

Actually, it’s 26 & counting

Columbo’s full of the hotness, absolutely! Smart, rumpled, confident men, with a twinkle in the eye…yum!

Yeah, we’re cute, but I’m not really interested.

Oh, just one more thing…

He had his glassie made with a permanent twinkle. He has several, and one of them has a malevelent glint.

I am totally with you. He was really cute, especially the rumpled dark hair. And all the excellent personality traits too. I still have to stop if I come across a repeat on TV, just to look at him for a few minutes.

Not a phrase but a concept…I know quilting is trendy and all, but the idea of this combination of slogan and product has me  “Will Work for Fat Quarters” thong I know maybe one quilter this would remotely be appropriate for.

What on earth does that even mean?
