Pick a president, any president!

Or, for a Republican, Darth Vader.

What? You thought Kirk would be pro-Tea Party?

palpatine! Palpatine! Palpatine! Palpatine! Palpatine! Palpatine!

He may be too tainted by W but, I always liked Colin Powell.

Elizabeth Warren anyone?

I don’t know that she’d do a good job, but I’d bet that she’d try.

Greg Mankiw

If Congress won’t listen to him on economic policy they won’t listen to anybody.

Russ Feingold. He’s the best straight-shooter that the Democratic Party has, and I think he’d make some strong stands in favor of personal rights over corporate rights, and maybe actually balance the budget. For this reason, he is entirely unelectable. I would vote for him in a heartbeat.

Yep. Russ Feingold was my guy. Only in Tea Party America would someone as competent as Russ Feingold be voted out of Congress.

Hillary.

Jack Bauer.

So is FDR but you had no difficulties with his (earlier) nomination.

Hal Jordan.

I dunno… I’ve heard repeatedly that he’s a “New Keynesian”, but he seems little more than a conservative neoclassical to me, especially because I had his textbooks for at least one or two of my big college Econ classes. If you’ve ever read his blog, you’d get what I’m talking about even more so. Did you know he was an economic adviser to Mitt Romney in '08?

Ugh… Romney. God, I hate that douchebag. How the hell can you actually dare to turn JFK’s speech on its head and claim that “freedom requires religion”? THE FUCK?:smack:

Tell that to all the ‘heretics’ who were killed and tortured during the Inquisition and Crusades, or the millions living under oppression in the Arab World.

Why should they listen to a guy who may tell partial truths on occasion, but who is by and large a right-wing hack?

Let’s turn this over to Krugman:

And when he found he was wrong about its being a passing phase, he had a choice between continuing to speak the truth about supply-side economics, or changing his tune to aid his career.

And that was just the first of many instances of Greg Mankiw hackitude.

I’m on board with Feingold. Let’s work on the resolution to draft him.

George Washington. Second choice Thomas Jefferson.
Alive or dead, either way.

Even better was the next passage, that “Religion requires freedom.” Tell that to the Jews.

No mention of Warren Buffett?

Oh I don’t now. I find it entertaining that the Mormon GOPer keeps reminding people about religion. Hey Mittens? I don’t know if anyone told you, but your White Southern Baptist base is not fond of your religion. You should probably stop bringing up the subject of religion.

[Ralph Wiggum](ralph wiggum for president)

As a side note–I would happily have swapped Richard Milhouse Nixon for George W, & been grateful for the bargain.
