Tusk, in its entirety, with the pauses, as Lindsay Buckingham intended it to be heard.
A lot of these have appeared in prior mixes - great stuff, though! I very much appreciate the effort and the education…
Feedback on Highway 101 - Johnny Winter
Whenever You’re Ready - Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express
Malice In Wonderland - Paice Ashton Lord
War - Mitch Ryder (but try to find the studio version)
Betcha this one hasn’t.
You Really got Me - Kinks
Rocket in my Pocket - Little Feat (live version)
Frankenstein - Edgar Winter Group
and speakin gof Mitch Ryder, Devil In A Blue Dress/Good Golly, Miss Molly
FYI, this is the first year’s play list - I think it defines “eclectic” - and note that some familiar songs are covers. \
Year two was better, I’ll post that too.

First 3 family friendly songs I could dance to that popped into my head.
How does one dance to this?
Usually (for me) an air guitar is involved.
Well, I need 8 hours max. This is about 8.7 hours, so that means I need to lose about 8-12 songs, depending on length.
The the 5-6 songs at the beginning and at the end are specifically for the beginning and the end, so I don’t want to just go with this. The party runs pretty much from set up starting at 4-4:30 to midnight, so I can create a playlist to cover it.
This is designed so that no particular style goes on too long at once. I have some pretty hard, noisy stuff in here, so I balance it on either side. Or I will, I’m not done yet.
I’ve also re-used a lot from prior years because it’s going to be a new and larger group this year.

Dancing to Led Zeppelin?

Dancing to Led Zeppelin?
Who said it was going to be nothing but dance songs?
It’s party songs, for a party in the street that includes people of every age coming and going over about 6-8 hours.
So in addition to good solid dance tunes you want other high energy songs that aren’t necessarily “dance” and some mellow background / breaks. A relentless barrage of the same type of sound and energy is irritating, especially for a situation like this with the wide range of ages and personalities. I’m trying to give everyone a little something.
And if I were going to pick a song on here that’s eyebrow raising, it wouldn’t be Zeppelin, it would be System of a Down - Toxicity??? Yeah. I’m shuffling everything now, and that’s my favorite part, creating the order, juxtaposing System of a Down with Robin Thicke, Eminem with Soggy Bottom Boys, Sammy Davis Jr. with Flo Rida, Bobby Darin with Metallica…it actually comes out great. People love it, because you don’t get bored with it, and any song or style you hate quickly gives way to something you like. And most of these are pretty distinctive tunes.
I include a few reluctantly that I figure some people will squeal over even though I’d rather not, like the Beyonce. I’m also conflicted about Love Shack. I actually hate that song, and it’s more than 5 minutes long. But I know other people love it.
Pink Martini… sounds jazzy, cool, lounge, continental, latin… hard to pin down.
