Pig rescues goat.

I had no idea that pigs could swim. So cool.

It is definitely not what you’d expect.

Does Stephan Pastis know about this?

Where is rat?

Finally, the bacon returns the favor and does the saving!

Our local news portrayed this as a rescue.
I’m inclined to think it fell out like this.

(goat in peril)
pig: “Hey, water, that looks like fun!”
(swims over)
goat: “If it’s not bad enough I can’t swim, now I’m being menaced by a pig!”
(increased panic thrashing gets him close to edge to get out)

That’s what I thought as well.

I like the rescue version better.

That video seemed way too fast. I can’t believe the pig swims direct to the goat either.

It looks like a heavy edit to me. Cutting out footage of the pig aimlessly swimming around. Then they speed up the speed maybe 1.25 times?

That’s S O M E P I G!

I once saw a herd of horses rescue a pot-bellied pig. The pig was a stray that would hang out at my old boarding barn’s pastures. One day a pack of dogs came through the fence and were chasing down the pig. I believe they would’ve killed Porkchop if they could catch him. The herd of horses split into two groups. One herded the pig towards a big round bale of hay and stood around him, facing outward. The horses started chasing the dogs and ran them out of the pasture.

Oh, they can definitely swim…and you can swim with them!

I can’t even tell you how much I like this rescue/video.
Pigs are really smart. Re Animal Farm.
Animals feel compassion, too. Just because they can’t speak English doesn’t mean they can’t relate.

Prescient username / post combination.

Why not, they can fly

It was a staged video.

But the video was thoroughly staged. It was created for a new Comedy Central series, “Nathan for You,” with the help of some 20 crew members, including animal trainers, scuba divers and humane officers, and required the fabrication of a plastic track to guide the pig to the goat (which was never in jeopardy).

But to the creators of the video — which has since been viewed more than seven million times — the news reports are the unexpected if felicitous results of a social experiment in which they say they were not aspiring to this level of deceit.

She just did it to make Kermit jealous.

This recent revelation makes the username/post combination even more interesting.

I knew David Hasselhoff had let himself go but calling him a pig is a bit much.

I keep trying to tell you guys.
