And don’t forget the video. There has to be a video. It’s a rule.
Just throw a hungry tick down in there.
I did that once. But be warned, if you don’t have a pimple down in there and throw a tick down in there anyways it’s gonna hurt like hell. You can guess how I know that.
Mine was a cyst in my underarm and my lovely (at the time) fiancee. I won’t give TMI but I had always though “green” and “smell of death” were hyperbole before that day.
Another vote for a hot compress or steamy shower. Hot water can work miracles. Even if you don’t manage to pop it, the hot water will help with the pain.
Hold a hot, wet washcloth over the ear for 5-10 minutes. Then pop that puppy. It will hurt like hell for a minute or two but then it will be over. Be sure that you get all the ooky stuff out right away. Then cover it with neosporin (or at least some clean petroleum jelly) so it doesn’t re-infect.
I’ve suffered from zits and cysts all my life and only recently learned how common they are. Never go to a dermatologist to get rid of one. They’re too squeamish about leaving a scar behind where no one can see it. Either that, or they’d rather you suffer the pain of it.
I tend to get my [EMT cross-trained by the Navy] hubby to check things like this out. He can see it without any restrictions and can decide if it is something he can do or if it needs to go to a doctor for.
He does great wound care - he took care of the daily wound care for an annoyingly tricky surgical site back in 1996 that let me come home instead of spending a month in hospital.
Down at the quarry?
Every time I see this thread title I sing it like this.
When it pops, it’s gonna sound awesome!
