Excuse me. I’ll try not to sound to whiny, but sometime around Monday or Tuesday of last week, I apparently pinched a nerve somewhere in my neck or shoulder. I’ve got a call into a very good chiropracter and I’ll see her on Monday night, but until then, well, it hurts!
This is trivial, but painful, and the tingling sensations I’ve been getting in my fingers at times are a bit disconcerting. I’ve been using mild painkillers, hot baths, and Mentholatum. Can anyone else spare advice, sympathy, or both? Maybe a virtual neck and shoulder massage? I’m not a wimp, I swear it, but ow!!
The only thing I’d advise is a very gentle hand rub in the area of most pain. That, and flexing and rotating your arm, slowly, to keep the blood flow going to your muscles.
I get neuralgia and chills across the back and shoulders, from time to time. Keep the area warm, the muscles supple – you’ll find that’s half the battle.
Good luck, Siege. All the best. And … sympathy ow! Take care.
Oh, Siege, I’m right there with you, but with a slipped disk in the lower back…been in pain since a week ago Thursday from it, though physical therapy is helping it to get better (as does having a cute physical therapist massage one’s butt.)
It might feel like you will never feel normal again, but you’ll get there…and the feeling of happiness you get when you do feel better (and not because of the mushle relackshents) is something to look forward to.

Feel better soon!
