I believe this is only true out on the west coast, but does anybody know how it came to be that doughnut and cake shop boxes came to mostly be that Pepto Bismol pink?
I know this is often also true for takeout dim sum but don’t know if that is simply an efficiency of ordering the boxes that already exist (or maybe it spread from Chinatown outward).
