I pulled them off of Wisdom Panel’s site. Wisdom Panel is the largest DNA database for canines. They sell DNA testing to the public. As there is no DNA exclusively linked to any given breed the best science can offer is looking at the DNA and comparing it to the DNA of dogs that have been certified AKC breeds. The breed results they give are probable lineage.
As it appears we can’t scientifically determine breed. It’s shown repeatedly people can’t accurately determine breed based on looks. How are these media reports determining the attacks taking place are by ‘pit bulls’ If there is no paper trail documenting the lineage to a AKC ‘pit bull’ it’s impossible to say the dog was a pit bull. I know that sounds like a no true Scotsman defense but if you have no way of actually determining someones Scotish herritage it is a pretty valid defense.
We still have the problem of no trait exists that can explain why a ‘pit bull’ is a more dangerous dog. If it is a physical thing, their are plenty of other dogs with the same physical capacities. If it is a mental thing there are plenty of other breeds with the same mental capacities. If it’s a combination of the two why should breed mixes that have the same combined characteristics be excluded from breed bans.
Chihuahuas are notorious for being vicious little bastards but no ones concerned about them killing people because their size. Leonberger’s are huge dogs but are gentle natured so no one seams concerned about them. Shouldn’t we have reason to be concerned about a chihuahua/leonberger crossbreed? Why not ban them?

Kids need to get chewed up a bit, now and then. Teaches them, and their little brothers who saw them get bit while trying to break up a fight between evenly matched dogs that didn’t like each other, not to be stupid around dogs.

Just this past year, twice, my sister’s daschund ,Abby, suddenly jumped and attacked my face , once when I was bent over and once in the chair. No one could figure out what was the provocation. Never happened to anyone else. No blood though, no harm.
I’m 52 years old. I have no idea how many stitches someone else needed 37 years ago. Why? Does it matter?
