It was rightfully mod noted as close to threadshitting and attacking the poster. It was perfectly accurate of course, but without the context of your pattern of posting like a disingenuous halfwit about the environment, that wouldn’t be apparent to the average reader. And of course dragging out evidence of your pattern of dimwittery would have been inappropriate in that forum anyway.
Now if anyone wants some evidence they can just read the rest of the thread. Whether you were trolling with this ignorance about basic science, or are you genuinely this dumb, I have a hard time believing you didn’t know exactly what you were setting up with your OP. I got so pissed off with this disingenuous nonsense that, although I avoided crossing the line in that thread, in the heat of the moment I reported the whole thread to be moved to the Pit on the basis that (a) the OP was dishonest about its real agenda, and (b) OP had not presented anything coherent enough for anyone else to express an opinion on. @engineer_comp_geek rightly shot me down, unfortunately (unlike GD) there are no standards in the rules for IMHO that the OP must advance a thesis for discussion in a coherent manner. Of course trolling is not allowed, but I don’t think it really rises to that level, although I think his OP here was blatantly dishonest. I’ve replied to several of his threads about biology/evolution where I have some expertise with some scientific information, but more for the potential benefit of others than in any hope that it might have any impact on his ignorant “intuition” about the way the world works.
That sums it up, I think. But I have less patience with nonsense when it’s ignorance and disinformation about things like climate change or vaccination.
