I’m not really all that interested in defending this poster, but that particular thread really got meanspirited, I thought. The responses weren’t even that clear, and I was trying to follow along. There was no way he was going to provide a cite, so the repeated requests for that were wasted.
It just felt like kicking someone when he was down, teasing the dumb kid, something like that. It seemed worse than other threads started by this poster.
Or maybe he’s completely oblivious.
After that massive dump of a threadshit plus highjack he pulled in my thread about the American Climate Corps just so he could trot out his climate science denial yet again, he doesn’t have a leg to stand on regarding, well, damn near anything. He may actually believe he’s just asking questions, but what he’s really doing is trolling.
Yeah, what he did with that Climate Corps thread was really fucked up.
But, to be honest, it should not have surprised a single solitary soul in the Universe. The only twist on the matter was it was a twofer of his usual stunts.

But, climate change denial is against the board rules in general as a “tired topic”. And he received a warning partially for violating that rule in that thread. (It was also for hijacking the thread.)

Maybe he can be barred from “let’s talk about sperm” questions.

I need to correct myself, at least in this thread below, it’s mentioned that he has a ban on discussing climate change matters.
That is the thread where HDBC requested a ban from the site, which was granted, at least until he decided to come back.
And in his ATMB thread, in his self-described effort to explain his MO, he’s just called all of us here dumb.
I’m now wondering what the over-under is on that thread (a) getting booted to The BBQ Pit, (b) locked without a warning, (c) locked with a warning, and (d) locked with a banning.
I would consider (d) to be an early birthday present.
I look at it as yet another attempt to pull a Jeremy Clarkson “so sorry” while immediately silently mouthing “not really”. He will again claim, as he always does, that he wants to be informed, educated, etc etc etc. Which he did in all of his threads before I put him on ignore, and where he always ignored all the people who were telling him why his ideas were so whack.
This is for the threads where he’s not just being an evil bigot mind you.
I do NOT find his act convincing. As I’ve said before upthread, some Mod with a strong stomach should go through the evidence, the probably dozens, if not hundreds of similar claims of wanting the ideas to be evaluated while ignoring all content but his own, and conclude he’s operating from a position of complete dishonesty. And then ban him.
I doubt anything that’s deniably a direct attack/insult in his new thread will get him warned or banned. But I hope this whole circus of warning → self ban → return puts the mods in the mind to judge him in light of his entire posting history. And that the shit he’s skated by on in the past with notes become warnings in the future keeping in mind his posting in the past.
Creeped me right out. But I guess it was my fault. I just can’t understand why he even brought the semen/spinal fluid thing up. It makes little sense to use that as an example unless you’re trying to shock or just be creepy.

That is the stupidest comment I have ever seen. I write fiction loosely based or inspired by true stories. As far as I know that is a pretty common practice.
