Acting like this is some fucking mystery when you are asked a dozen times in every thread to cite your sources is just pathetic. I don’t care what your motivations are if the thread subject matter is interesting. I care about your evasiveness about the source of the nonsense that you credulously soak up, because that evasiveness derails potentially interesting threads into trainwrecks.
If a person repeatedly refuses to cite their sources, that’s good evidence to me that their sources are discrediting and worthy of ridicule, thus there is a strong incentive to not do so.
Jeez, just leave this poster alone. When he posts some weird scientific theory, explain why it’s wrong or impossible and leave the thread. That thread about sperm or whatever was really pretty nasty for an IMHO thread. There was no reason for all the rancor.

Except that he didn’t say that he thought CSF was connected to semen in the OP. He said something odd but much vaguer, and as usual was evasive about just what he thought were the facts and the source. If he had cited his source, then it would have been easy to understand what he was thinking and why, and to explain in the straightforward way that you suggest that the source he was reading was crank pseudoscience.
I think this kind of bullshit posting that promotes ignorance while deliberately hampering any attempt to fight ignorance through evasiveness deserves pushback.
OK, just pushback with “this general idea is wrong, and all the details are wrong, but if you have some source that is making claims like this, I’d love to see it” and leave it there. He’s never going to bring cites, so why bother?
I never “bother” because of any particular poster, the OP doesn’t own a thread and I’ll participate in a thread where the subject matter is of interest to me. But this isn’t supposed to be a safe space for bullshit pseudoscience, and if it’s something I’m interested in I’ll call it out when I see it.
Just for the record, the reasons some people can’t let HBDC go is that between his unsourced musings he periodically JUMPS from gross to HORRIFIC. The one that got me to put him on perpetual ignore was this one:
