A relative back home in Pittsburgh reported that a group named “United Arab something-or-other” held a celebration of the terrorist attacks in Green Tree on Wednesday night. It doesn’t sound right to me, and I am hoping that it isn’t true and I can debunk it to her, cause the hate gotta stop somewhere.
I can’t find anything on the Post-Gazette or Tribune-Review websites. If anyway has anything such as a vigil, mosque service or meeting, or blood drive held in Green Tree this week, please post the info. I am just wondering if something like that could have been garbled into this hateful story.
I haven’t heard anything like that - though we haven’t had much local news the last few days.
The local stations have spent a good bit of time covering the 4th plane in Somerset, as well as national coverage. In fact, I think the only local news I’ve seen is the weather.
Anyway, it’s probably just a rumor - if it had occured, it would’ve made the news, I’m sure.
Sugaree, since it’s damn near impossible to prove a negative, eg, something didn’t happen, the usual way to approach this is to ask for evidence that it did. No evidence, then it’s likely that it did not occur. If they provide evidence then you analyse the evidence and should be able to ascertain the truth.
