Pity me, I have bronchitis!

Nothing else, just seeking sympathy.

Willing to dish out same to anyone else who needs it. In between coughing fits, of course.

Oh, you poor dear.

::fluffs pillow::

I’ll put some Kaz in the vaporizer.

You have loads of my sympathy, moonstarssun. Bronchitis is th’ pits. Get well soon.

It could be worse. My wife came down with bronchitis about a year ago and spent time (including her birthday) in two different hospitals in Yemen. It took 10 days before we were able to fly back to Dubai, and another 2-3 weeks to recover fully.

As Sana’a, Yemen is at 7000’ (2300m), it was great for her to get back to sea level.

Hint: Saudi-German hospital is the place to go if you are in need of medical care in Yemen.

Hint#2: Yemeni-German hospital is a last resort…

(neither have any real relation to Germany, but “German” means quality in the eyes of Yemenis)

OK, this right here made me feel tons better. It’s nowhere near my b’day, I’m nowhere near Yemen and I seriously doubt this is bad enough to put me in the hospital.

::snuggles down into pillow::

You have my sympathies; as a child, I spent time in the hospital in an oxygen tent thanks to bronchitis.

Bronchitis is pure hell. I’m a veteran of several bouts.

Vaporize, hydrate, and get as much of that junk out as you can.

I was thinking of making some homemade chicken noodle soup today. Want me to run some over?

I just made some Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea. But I’ll give it to you instead. It’s not a true tea, it’s an herbal mix with spearmint and other good things that you’ll be able to taste, and it always helps me with my bronchitis, pneumonia, upset stomach, and just generally feeling lousy.

Hey, me too! (cough, cough)

Plus, both my ears are shut down. The Doc said “Ooh, this eardrum looks so tight, I’m afraid it may rupture. Does it hurt?”

I said “No, but this ear hurts.”

So, he looked into that one and said “Ugh, this one is even worse!”

Now I’m the proud owner of levaquin, nasonex, asteline, R-Tanna, hycodan syrup, and some ambien.

Woo (cough cough) Hoo… not.

All right, you can have the next cup of tea. And a hot water bottle, too. Levaquin is a pretty effective antibiotic, if that makes you feel any better.

One heapin’ helpin’ of sympathy coming your way.

Yes please, to both the soup and the tea!

And Ca3799, I hope the antibiotic kicks in quickly and and you start feeling better soon.

I still have a lingering cough that makes me cough so hard I choke but am getting over bronchitis that I had last week. And I’m pregnant so there is very little I can take to get better. It hurt so much from the coughing that my back was starting to hurt again as well. Finally I got put on the Zpack and got some relief but it’s still there.

finally got over the bron. and laryn. took a bit over a month. there are still missing bits of voice.

lots and lots of drinking. cough-drink, cough-drink, cough-drink-run for bathroom. repeat.

i hope things get better for you soon. here have a nice soft, cuddly, throw.

I must have the world’s longest-lasting bronchitis. I have been coughing since late January, then was very sick for about 3 weeks . . . so it wasn’t until late February that I could actually make it to the doctor. I have finished the antibiotics, but am still having coughing spells . . . choking . . . having to force myself to breathe. Since I’m diabetic, everything I get takes forever to heal.

That sucks. Get Better!!
tucks you in & pats your head

You have my sympathy. I’m mostly over my latest bout, but I have grown to expect bronchitis at least twice a year.

I don’t know why I get it so often, but I wish it would stop.

Anyway, take it easy and get better, moonstarsun
