Pizza Hut's New Menu

Ordered PH tonight and the hand tossed crust on both mediums didn’t take like any version of their crusts. Chose hand tossed for both and the crust was tough, thick tasting even though it didn’t look thick and extremely dry. I’m not sure if they changed things again but it kind of tastes like they defrosted the crust skipped letting it rise or whatever and didn’t let it thaw all the way. I may call when they open tomorrow but it was too close to closing to call tonight and I didn’t want to deal with anyone who wanted to go home more then they wanted to try and help a unsatisfied customer.

This is a pretty serious necro, but I just read through this whole post and I felt compelled to write this. I even made an account just for it.

You are not a sissy. That honey sriracha sauce is extremely hot. I’m the guy that eats death fire hell inferno wings and enjoys them. I eat fresh jalapeños like they’re celery.

That honey sriracha sauce is pretty intense. In fact, the reason I came across this thread is because I couldn’t believe that a chain pizza place had a sauce this hot. Google brought me here.

I’d be curious to know where you live. I live in TX, and it wouldn’t surprise me if we got a hotter recipe of the sauce than, say, Connecticut or Montana do.

Last month I got a za from the Hut that was awful, awful, awful, by even whatever standards you might have for them. First they wouldn’t let me have the pretzel crust on a medium saying only larges can have that, despite ads saying “any size, any crust” or something to that effect, as well as the carry out menu I ordered from indicating it should have been available.

Then, while it was supposed to be a meat lovers, this thing had barely any meat on it.

A week or so later, this particular location closed down, so I suspect they were purposefully goldbricking.

There isn’t another location very close to me, not that this one was super close either, so I guess I’ll have to stick to Jet’s.

I like what Pizza Hut has done. In the past their pan pizzas have been a nice occasional treat, but they were very greasy and $18.

Now for less than half that price my standard order is a large hand-tossed with toasted asiago crust, pepperoni, mushrooms, and balsamic vinegar drizzle. Definitely different and very tasty.

I also like getting chicken as a topping and the BBQ drizzle.

You like Jet’s? I’ve only had it twice. The first time I enjoyed it but I’d also spent the last 2 hours helping a friend move so it’s possible I wasn’t really evaluating it objectively. The second time about a week ago, the sauce was so sweet it was almost inedible. Do you find they have sweet sauce in general?

While I concur that their sauce is a bit on the sweet side, it’s not to the point I don’t like it, I enjoy it quite a lot. And it’s not something that I’d think would make it inedible even if you go for other types of sauce. Sounds like something with that one went wrong.
