Place to eat dinner in Louisville, KY

I am in Louisville, KY - where should I have dinner? Someone please recommend a place. It can’t be too fancy because I don’t have a suit. I’m only here for one day. Hopefully you will answer in the next hour. Thanks.

Bluegrass Brewing Company is a microbrewery with a great menu, and I think they might even have beer there as well…

Seriously though, I have only been there once, but it was a nice upscale, yet not stuffy atmosphere, and when I mentioned to the bartender that I was just visiting from Salt Lake, she went over and grabbed the owner, who insisted on sponsoring me a couple of beers, and giving me some nice tips on stuff to check out in Louisville. The whole staff seemed very friendly, and I made sure to be extra generous when the tab came.

It was a great experience, and if I make it back to Louisville again, its the 1st place I will hit!!!

Enjoy your visit, Matthew

Get a Hot Brown at the Brown Hotel–it’s the local dish and that’s where it was invented.

Ramsi’s Cafe on the World on Bardstown Road is good, and not fancy at all. The menu is huge, and everything I’ve had has been delicious. Service is sometimes not very good, but I’ve usually been there on busy nights.
