Places you've been. . .

I just thought of a few more interesting places I’ve been:

Inside the Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV2) built by my friend Sean Casey to shoot IMAX film inside a tornado. I got a ride around the streets of Chattanooga a few years ago. (No tornado chasing, unfortunately.)

Inside the cab of the Canadian Pacific steam engine, The Empress (2816), as it was making up a train in the yard in preparation for a four-day filming excursion from Vancouver to Calgary for the IMAX film, Rocky Mountain Express. Then riding on that train for the excursion. It was incredible!

I’ve spent a few days at the US special forces base in the Daykundi Province of Afghanistan, there was an old Soviet base on another hilltop and a fort that Alexander the Great had built on yet another.

I’m pretty sure no one on this board has ever been in my back yard, staring awestruck at my ten-foot-tall banana plants while an adolescent field spaniel untied their shoelaces.
