Planning a trip to Waikiki, is this a good deal?

So, my SO and I have wanted to take a Hawaii trip for a long time and finally decided to go this year. I found a deal through Hotels.com for airfare, hotel (the New Otani Kaimani) right on the beach and rental car. The total package is $1820.

Does that sound like a good deal? For a weeks trip, how much more should we budget to spend on food, activities and the like?

Oh and the funny thing. My cousin has been stationed at the air force base out there for over a decade. He’s retiring and moving away from Hawaii in June. Talk about timing.
