Playboy ?'s

Has an OUT lesbian posed?celebrity Asian? When was there last “Women of the Ivy League” issue?

I do seem to recall that in 1991, Playboy featured a post-op transsexual.

By “googling”, my latter answer is 1985.

Yes, that was Tula Cossey, born Barry Cossey.

I’m sure one has, but i can’t recall.

Tia Carrere recently. That fitness asian chick also posed recently. (I’m NOT googling at work to find her name)

I had one from mid-90s (before it was legal for me to own said magazines, it was a NSS). I haven’t bought any recently, but i think this year was either Big Ten or Big Twelve.

I currently subscribe. I think my above post is 10 years off (i.e. '95). “fitness chick”=Kiana Tom

Kiana Tom?

Kiana Tom was in Playboy? I’m gonna have to find that one! Rowr!

There was a Women of the Ivy League issue some time in the summer or early fall of 1995; I was at Cornell when they were there for it. I knew one of the girls who appeared in the magazine, although not at all well. Indeed, it’s more accurate to say that we had acquaintences in common – I’m not sure if I’d ever actually met her or not. (I certainly don’t recall her name now.)

I’m sorry, but am I the only one who doesn’t see why this is an “arts” discussion? Should this be in Cafe Society or MPSIMS?

By “googling” +images you can find a photo of just about anyone.

naked women and magazines are both art. From someone who claims instructions for programming a vcr are art, i fail to understand your objections (except maybe the naked women part, which then i shall tell you to grow up)

Asian Celebs:
Kiana Tom: May 2002
Tia Carrere: Sometime this year

This year’s College Conference: Big 10 (last month)
And yes, if QEFSG and Enterprise are “Cafe Society” subjects, then Playboy is a Cafe Society subject.

Mmmm, Kiana Tom…

(That was the only Playboy I’ve bought in the last few years.)

I remember Playboy featuring four “out” lesbians from some minor music group about 10 years ago. Ah, here it is: (safe for work) http://www.geocities.com/popocalypse/musicfem2fem.html

Didn’t I see Sandra Bernhard starkers in Playboy?

Yes, you did.

I have the Sandra Bernherd Playboy. Is Sandra Bernhard an “out” lesbian? I think she revels in the ambiguity.

Here’s my Playboy question: why do they use that funky paper for the photo section? Have they always used that?

Umm that’s not why your pages are sticking together.

Funky paper? What’s so unusual about it?
They have been using slick paper since forever, though surely the specific weight/grade has varied depending on changing prices and technologies over almost 50 years.
