Reviews of the last one were almost entirely negative. You said the colors were too dark. You said the stitching on the coat was shabby. You said some other stuff. I took it all into account and made a new clown outfit.
I remember your last outfit, and this is FAR superior. I like the white coat – you should make up some kind of “professor” schtick to go along with it.
That’s looks good! You look friendly and approachable. Maybe some big silly epaulets for the coat? Maybe some kind of makeup or rinse out color for your hair & goatee? Or maybe not. It does look like it suits you, as is.
Pants, coat and shirt are all solid colors. I think it would look more clownish if you found a way to break that up a little. Also think you need make-up and a wig.
Is this intended for professional clowning, if so it’s kind of generic. The white coat and hospital scrub type pants makes you look like a doctor dressing up for Halloween. If this is just to amuse your buddies it’s fine, if you intend on going on gigs you need to pimp it up.
The lab coat is a good idea, if you can do a little sewing, add colorful cuffs to the sleeves (also will help hide dirt - white cuffs get dirty fast) and trim along the bottom, piping to the collar, and some patches all over in colors that match the buttons. Do they still make iron-on patches? Those might be good around the body of the coat.
Consider rolling up the pants to mid-calf with striped knee-high socks.
Much better this time with just a little tweaking.
The coat needs two large pockets on top and two larger pockets on the bottom. Standard clownkerchief coming up out of one of the top pockets , and colorful toy versions of stethoscopes and other medical essentials hanging out of the bottom pockets. The plain blue scrubs have got to go-there are any number of real scrub suits I’ve seen that would look good on a clown.
Oh, and nothing says doctor like an oversized head mirror for a hat. Or even put in on the hat itself.
Here’s my first reaction, from looking at the pic of you in the whole outfit:
“Oh! this guy’s a doctor and wants to cheer up the kids in the cancer ward.”
The kids are used to seeing doctors in white coats, but this doc looks happier than the others.
Am I right?
If not----you need totally eliminate the white lab coat.
It’s drab, it’s serious-looking-- the opposite of what a clown is.
Cover it completely with patches, each in a different bright color. And add huge pockets, too. Good for reaching into and pulling out “secret” gifts or candies.)
