I hope this post does not cause more people more dismay; for I have already posted it in the Pit and in the GQ.
I am doing it here also just in case it really should belong here.
Here is my question:
Adminstrator-Moderator Gaudere of GD banned my topic on Merit of Anal and Oral Sex, and earlier the one on Merit of Self-effected Departure (i.e., suicide).
There are three moderators for GD.
Do they work shifts of eight hours each, or they work their watch simultaneously.
Do they act as a collegial body or each one can ban a topic as the replies were still coming in, or they put the decision to ban by voting, so that at least two votes are needed to ban a topic from continuing.
By the way, who watch over the moderators or administrators to insure that they don’t abuse their discretion.
I have emailed my preoccupation to Gaudere, but I have not yet visited my email box.
I guess I should have done that first.
Maybe it’s not fair, I mean my posting these questions in three places, before I look up my emails.
But my experience has been that people in Straight Dope do not answer my emails, because my emails are not deserving of a reply, or people are very busy with more urgent things.
Well, posters more experienced here might give me some feedbacks so that I would know how to conduct myself, as regards the kinds of topics to bring up and the places to post them.
Yes, I should read everything on posting policies and rules here and there where I can find them.

Susma Rio Sep, the mods and admins will like you much more if you don’t add to their workload. You can accomplish this by reading the forum dsecriptions, then posting in the appropriate forum. They’ve also developed some rather good FAQs.
If you have started three threads with the same question, then you know that mods will need to close two of them. This means extra, unnecessary work for a mod. If you have a question about the appropriate forum for a question, you can either ask that question here in ATMB, or e-mail mods if it is a particuarly sensitive subject. Most importantly, if you e-mail a mod, wait for an answer. They are busy people, and we can’t tell from this side of the message board where they are most pressed for time.

The Pit is the forum for comments or questions about Moderator or Administrator decisions and processes. There’s a certain logical gap there, but that’s the way we’ve set it up.
