It was on TCM about a month ago. The only specifics I remember is, towards the end a character is staggering around outside, and he passes by “Angel’s Flight” in LA as the cars are going by. It is not Angel’s Flight, Crossfire, or Kiss me Deadly, which is what I keep getting on my Google searches. Any help would be great!
If it’s Edmond O’Brien staggering around, I’d guess D.O.A. On the other hand, I think that movie takes place in San Francisco.
The last part of *DOA * is set in–or at least was filmed in–downtown L.A… The climax was filmed in the Bradbury Building (also used in Blade Runner).
It’s not DOA, but thanks.
I think I may have seen your movie; at least I fairly recently watched a movie set around Angel’s Flight that wasn’t any of the ones you mentioned. I remember because I was intrigued enough with Angel’s Flight that I googled it to find out more.
But I’ve looked over my shelves, and nothing leapt to my eye. And I went through my Netflix rentals, and the only reasonably recent thing that might be even remotely noir-ish was The Indestructible Man, an old Lon Chaney, Jr. flick about a resuscitated gangster who goes out looking for revenge. Could that be it?
