Please help identify this background music

Here is the link: https://youtu.be/edxvznzklCA.

The clip is from Werner Herzog’s 1998 documentary “Little Dieter wants to fly”. Annoyingly, IMDB doesn’t seem to carry details of the soundtrack, and the first few links I found by Googling mentioned the chanting music that occurs elsewhere in the film, but that’s not what I’m interested in. I haven’t run it through any of the apps that are supposed to do this for you, but I’m not sure that would work anyway due to the talking over the top of the music, and the fact it seems to be a fairly obscure classical piece. Any suggestions would be great!

I used the Shazam app. No luck. Sorry. Nice piece of music.

One website claims that it’s a part of “The New World Symphony” by Dvorak called “Going Home”, but I can’t tell if that’s true.

Thanks, wasn’t sure whether to go there or here, I don’t visit the Cafe much but I should have checked.

Thanks for trying, and also reminding me of the name of the app. Not a big fan of it myself, it’s a bit modern - I tend to prefer things written before 1900 (loads of exceptions of course).

Thanks, I think I found the same source - it’s not that bit. “Going Home” by Dvorak is well-known to Brits as the theme music for the Hovis advert (a brand of bread). Search for “Going Home Dvorak” on Youtube and you’ll find it. It’s definitely not the piece I’m looking for here, sorry.

Bela Bartòk Danze Rumene “Buciumeana”

Thank you - sorry, I meant to check this yesterday while at home and forgot, but you seem pretty confident! Much appreciated.

Just to confirm, this was indeed the one, so thanks again. I didn’t even take the credit for myself :). It’s all about who you know…
