I heard it on the radio yesterday. It sounded a lot like Jackson Browne, but I can’t be completely certain it was him, and nothing’s jumping out from a quick scan of his discography on Wikipedia.
The first verse centers on a guy on a ledge, or the top of a building, thinking about jumping, and when asked why he’s doing it he says something like “it’s because of everything.”
And it’s not “The Ledge” by the Replacements, nor is it “Jumper” by Third Eye Blind. It’s slower, more acoustic, and, well, more Jackson Browne-y.
Googling the phrase “it’s because of everything” isn’t helping, and I might not even have that phrase correct.
Any ideas?
