So, back in the winter of this year (or perhaps pre-new-years), I remember hearing a lecture on bioethics on NPR. It had a segment in which the lecturer was talking about how, in the current state of things, most experiments have a built-in ‘kill-switch’ that activates if a certain chemical is not given to the organism every x time interval. He also had some interesting things to say about synthesizing vaccines, making it so they didn’t need to be stored long-term.
A friend of mine really wants some info from this lecture, but I can’t seem to find it anywhere, and not knowing an exact date or lecturer name makes it extremely difficult. I’m hoping that perhaps someone might know better what I’m talking about.
Thanks in advance!
