There’s a guy who’s been cursed, so that part(all?) of him is always shapeshifting randomly into some other creature: a dog, as spider leg, ect. I was going to try and write a story about this but I’m sure it’s not an idea I had but a character I read somewhere.
Anyone have any idea who I’m thinking of? Not a lot to go on, I know.
In the Thieves’ World series, one of the wizards (IIRC) was cursed with random shape-shifting. He was able to go out on the street on occasion when he cycled to a form not too far from human.

The above is probably correct, but there’s also The Oddity from the Wild Cards series. It’s three lovers merged into one being, and its body parts are constantly moving and shifting.
I don’t know that I’ve ever read a Thieves World book, yet that sounds exactly like it. Odd. Thank you.
