Please help me identify this piece of classical music

I believe it’s late 19th century, possibly a work by Tchaikovsky. One part sounds remarkably like the theme song of a ***Peanuts ***special, the one that goes

*You’re in love, Charlie Brown!
You’re in love, Charlie Brown!
You’ll have your day,
she’ll come your way!
You’re in love … Charlie Brown! *

The classical piece is very gentle, and slows gradually toward the end.

Any guesses?

Tchaikovsky’s Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture? Check out 7:56, 9:10 and 9:58.

Nope. That’s the “Our Love” featured on the same Hooked on Classics album as the “Polovetsian Dance No. 2” by Borodin.

Here is the relevant ***Peanuts ***theme; the melody starts at 14 seconds in.

It’s not classical. It was composed by Vince Guaraldi.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I assume you’re being facetious here.

The piece I want identified merely sounds like Guaraldi’s in one place.

Williams actually said “Polovetsian,” though I heard on my local classical music station the other day that this is an acceptable variant.

The only thing it reminds me of is All Blues by Miles Davis which of course isn’t classical, but is classic. Or, going way out on a limb, it vaguely hints at, at least in my mind, Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallisby Vaughn Williams.

It sounded a bit Cuban to me, like “Guantanamera”. Also reminded me a bit of Fauré’s Berceuse from the Dolly Suite.
