Please help me identify this spooky old movie

Here’s the thing, I don’t have very much information at all and it’s been many, many years since I saw it - maybe like 35! When I was a little child, my sister and I saw this ghost movie on TV one rainy afternoon. For a while we used the main plot point as part of our make believe play and the main plot point is all I can remember. Here it is:

A man sees what he believes to be the ghost of his late wife riding on a horse in white flowing garb and moaning “murderer, murrrrrrder!” It turns out that the ghost is the wife’s sister.

That’s all I can tell you about the movie. My sister and I just call it “Murderer, Murderer”. I would love to know the title so I can rent it or purchase it and watch it with her. Any help identifying it would be really appreciated.

I took the liberty of posting your question on the IMDB board, and one person suggested that it might be “The Black Torment” (1964). Does this ring a bell?
