I think the plot was: A guy sees a weird image on a picture of an execution. After he takes another at another death, he realizes it’s the soul or death, so he sets out to trap it. The name was some weird word like Axpernx. Haven’t thought of it in years but always wanted to see it.

I saw that recently on Netflix instant streaming, good old horror flick.
