Please help me identify this tree take 2

I was trimming some tall bushes in my front yard and I spotted some berries that looked like Mulberries. I clipped some leaves and took a picture of them along with the berries.

Are these from a Mulberry bush or tree…?

I would agree that it is a mulberry tree.

Thank You! I mean, the birds got all the berries… but maybe next year…

Mulberry leaves can be different shapes, including lobeless, mitten, and Rebel Alliance Symbol. But all of them are big, and fuzzy, like a piece of okra.

A secondary means of identification is if you find a monkey chasing a weasel round and round the bush.

Also, mulberries have seperate male and female plants. I have one in my yard, but it is a dude, so no fruit for me.

One of my neighbors, a Mr. York, has a monkey named Rudy and a weasel named D… wait this is the wrong forum isn’t it? Darn, because now That’s a funny story…

Red Mulberry

Morus Rubra

I got this cool app on my phone.

I am not a mulberry expert, but it seems that depending on the species or variety, mulberry trees can be male, female, transition between genders or in some instances are self-fertile.

I planted two varieties of self-fertile mulberries this spring. Having two different kinds is supposed to improve fruit set.

It is a mulberry tree maybe the dwarf kind.

But if you really like mulberries, plant a Pakistan mulberry or the like. The fruits are much bigger and juicier.

I live in a housing development called M lberry Lane. Somebody stole the U. Never seen any mulberry bushes around here either.

It’s common for housing developments to be named after features that were removed in order to put up houses.

For example, a development named “Andover Forest” will be (at least initially) devoid of trees.
