I tried posting this in the “Does anyone know this movie thread?” but I am worried no one will get around to answering it and the query will continue to burn in my brain. Here goes:
I saw this movie once, ages ago, don’t know what it was called but it had a woman dive in to this huge pool and swim underwater. When she went to surface, the water was covered with something and she drowned.Another scene that may or may not have come from this movie is this woman gets a ring put on her finger by who I remember as the devil(??). He/It is behind a white curtain and asks her to reach out her hand, when she does this ugly gnarled hand comes out and puts the ring on. She is frantically trying to get the ring off in the next scene. Anyone?
-Second one is even more murky, a guy in a padded room with all of these crazy people attacking him and biting him. When he finally gets out (don’t remember how) he goes to maternity ward. He meets up with a woman carrying a baby. The woman had to argue to get the baby out of the nursery as it’s time to feed them. The man is all bloody leaning on the wall for support. As they are carrying the baby down the hallway the others in the nursery start crying, the formula was poisoned. Any takers??

The first movie in your OP is called The Legacy, starring Katharine Ross and Sam Elliot and Roger Daltry(!). The guy behind the white curtain is a witch, not the devil. He calls together six members of his coven to inherit his estate. One by one, all the coven members except K Ross die the way they gained their power, which is why the swimmer died in the pool.
The second one sounds like it could be It’s Alive! 2, but I haven’t seen that movie, so it’s just a guess.

Anyway, I don’t know the answer to your second one but I was hoping I could hijack and ask a question of my own.
In the movie I am wondering about, there was a young girl (teens?) who ends up in some sort of asylum or sanitarium where they sterilize her because she’s crazy (?) There is a part (shown in a flashback, I believe) where a whole family is in a car and dad notices something on the panel (overheating, something) and everyone has to get out of the car because it is going to explode. The girl I mentioned before gets out but another girl (her sister?) doesn’t because her shoelaces have been tied together as a prank. I believe the aforementioned girl still talks with the dead girl and that is maybe why she is in the asylum? I recall them walking along the grounds of the hospital talking and the dead girl telling the other one not to mention that she talks to her. Can anyone help me??? This has driven me crazy for many years! Sorry I don’t have much more detail but that’s pretty much all I can remember.
Poysyn: i’m sticking on the movie name for your #2 listing, but i think i know the one you’re referring to. it’s about the coming of the Anti-Christ, a young man named (heavy irony) Angel, son of the beaten-up guy (played by Kirk Douglas, would you believe?). the baby is his son by his new lover–they’re trying to rescue it before the AC can kill him (which is why all the other babies buy it in the nursery). hang on, let me check something …
HA! got it. movie is The Chosen, starring Kirk Douglas, Agostina Belli, Simon Ward, Anthony Quayle and Virginia McKenna. original title was Holocaust 2000.

I am looking for the name of a movie, apparently for the same reason you guys are. This one has a very large sea turtle, and a little girl who goes into the sea with it. There is a little boy too, and they meet again when they are both way older. The girl ends up going back into the water with this huge turtle. The movie was a little spooky to me, but I saw it as a very young person, so it probably wasn’t that bad.
aenea - Your film rings a bell with me. Can you give me any more info. Was it animated? Color? Time period. I know it’s probably not “The Secret of Roan Inish” starring Gamera.
LOL, no not a Gamera movie. This was a 70’s type movie, and was not animated.
It was something about “going into the deep water”…and I just remember a few scenes. After they are grown and meet again (little boy and girl) some people try to catch this giant turtle. It kills a few people, drags one down to the bottom of the ocean floor caught up in a rope. The girl somehow lives with the turtle, and in the end goes away with it again I think.
