It’s definitely not from Journey of Honor, although that move, too, features European knights fighting against samurai.
Awesome is what I would call it.
Indeed, I’m morbidly fascinated by its trashy awesomeness.
I did some poking around but I haven’t come up with anything yet. I agree that the clip is awesome.
I’ve been googling for days, but I can’t find anything. I remember having seen a longer clip a decade ago. There were other warriors from different cultures. One looked like a Saracen, one was African, and others. There was very little dialogue, if any at all, so I can’t tell what language the film is. It’s certainly not a Japanese production, because the Samurai’s equipment is all wrong.
I looked around last night and couldn’t find anything at all. Even doing GIS with some screen shots and various searches on different iterations on that name all, eventually, brought me back to that dailymotion channel.
Are you sure it’s actually a [real] movie and not just a single clip that a couple of kids and someone with a camcorder put together in an afternoon? That’s kinda what I’m thinking. Something between home movie and film school homework.
Yes, I’m positive it’s part of a feature-length film. I remember having stumbled upon a longer segment from reading a list of “Top 10 Worst Movie Swordfights” somewhere.
Besides the Knight and the Samurai, there were at least 4 other characters, all on horseback, all from different medieval cultures.
I finally know an obscure media identity!!! It only took 17 years!
Hearts and Armour
I saw this movie a long, long, long time ago. IIRC, it’s a chick flick jammed into medieval slice and dice action movie. I need to see this one again.
Oh, oh, I see! Running away, eh? You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what’s coming to you! I’ll bite your legs off!
And not a day too soon! You are my hero!
Thank you, and everyone else who tried finding it.
Based on that alone, this maybe the greatest movie ever made. Just lose the chick flick, except any nudity.
And it marks the debut of Ronn Moss making it surprising that it is so obscure.
OK, I’ve obviously never tried it, but is it even possible to sneak up behind someone wearing a suit of armor? Never mind the leaves and branches – isn’t there an unavoidable amount of clanking?
In French is it saying Ultimate Warrior. It is from the TV show Deadliest Warrior.
Everything about this clip is wrong, but it’s an impressive form of wrongness.
