(Not mundane nor pointless).
My BF’s 13 year old son Jake is in the hospital with a huge tumor on his lung. He had cancer when he was a toddler with a very low chance of survival, but he recovered, and he has been in remission for years now. Anyone that’s interested, please pray or do whatever rituals/thoughts/meditiations your particular spirituality calls for, for him. He’s a sweet boy and even though I’m “just” the GF, I love him. I just can’t believe this. Also, my BF is a long haul trucker and was about 1,000 miles away when this news came in. He’s on his way back after dropping off the load he was hauling, and he’ll hopefully be back tomorrow. He (obviously) needs all the good thoughts, vibes, and prayers he can get, too.
Thank you so much.
I’m not a prayin’ gal, but all of you will be in my thoughts! What an awful way to hear such news
I am so sorry to hear your news. Sending warm thoughts his way!
Candle’s lit - one with three wicks, one for each of you. Prayers being said. Hang in there.
My prayers are with you all!
Prayers of healing and grace for the boy, courage, faith and hope for the dad and you.
Warm thoughts for Jake
Prayers and good thoughts headed Jake’s way. Hope all is well soon.
Good vibes coming to Jake and to his father to arrive home safely. Take care of yourself and them.
Praying. Hang in there.
I’m praying for all of you. Take care of yourselves, don’t run yourself ragged. The last thing you need would be to get sick now. sends good vibes towards Jake and all who love him
I talked to Jake’s Aunt last night. Apparently they have him on morphine now. He’s been throwing up constantly and is in a lot of pain. My BF has not arrived back yet from his out-of-state trip, but when he does I’m sure he’ll go straight to the hospital and stay there. I’m putting most of my plans on hold to support him any way I can. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers guys.
Sending best wishes to Jake in hopes he’ll pull through. Sending strength and best wishes to you and the BF . Will his company let him stay home for awhile or is he an independent? My husband’s company was great about letting their drivers deal with issues like this.
Many prayers heading Jake’s way and for all of you supporting him, as well. Don’t even want to imagine what you all are going through. My niece has been there twice with cancer, once at 1 year old and once at 16. She’s now 22 and doing well, thank God. It can be done. Hold onto hope and each other.
Good thoughts for all three of you. It doesn’t sound like there’s a quick, easy fix, so I’m wishing you a thourough fix and the strength to get to it. Love and hugs.
In case folks were wondering: Jake came home from the hospital. He started chemotherapy and everyone’s just waiting to see how it works. One dose of chemo, then about a week later an MRI to see if/how much the tumors have shrunk. So far, so good… no results from the first MRI yet. Jake can’t go anywhere due to immunosuppression. Those who were praying, ritualizing, lighting candles etc. please continue to do so.
Thank God he made it this far. Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
One more prayer on the way… God be with you all…
