A day or two I started the above reference thread in Cafe Society. It has since been moved to the Game Room, which makes about as much sense as Star Trek biology. The Game Room is supposed to be about sports and video games and and roleplaying and suchg; the murderfest is just an excuse to talk about the Trekverse. Please put it back where it belongs.

They probably meant to put it in the Thread Games forum.
B) It doesn’t even really belong in Thread Games. It’s just an excuse to insult Gene Roddenberry and to post nude pics of of Alice Eve.

It might make *some *sense in Thread Games. But Cafe Society is the natural place for it.
I don’t see a mod note for the move.
If you start off your thread with “This game is for you” and end the post with “Anybody want to play” you can expect it to go where games go. If you didn’t want it to be treated as a game you shouldn’t have set it up as one.
Speaking as someone who does not mod CS or the game forums.
I’m okay with it going in Thread Games, though I still think CS is the better fit. But as I understand it, The Game Room isn’t for games played on the board; it’s for talking about football and World of Warcraft and the like.
Yeah, that’s the point: It didn’t go where games go. One can argue for either Cafe or Thread Games, and I think that if I were a mod, I would in such a case just default to leaving it where it was started. But it certainly doesn’t go in the Game Room as currently construed.
I’m the one who moved it. I usually write a note when moving topics, but I remember being busy and moving it on the fly at the moment (which I’ve also done before, but I try not to). As for putting it in the Game Room and not Thread Games, that was a mistake. I thought I had put it in TG. My mistake. I apologize for both things.
