And by “good” I mean informative, detailed, and not overly sensationalized. I can’t take any more of CNN.com, which has basically turned into a tabloid.
Today’s headline, screaming at me in all caps 40pt bold font, “THEY WERE BOUND” (referring to those abducted girls found in Cleveland). God knows what kind of font they’d use if they had actual news to report, as opposed to merely adding prurient details to a two-day-old story.
Drudge Report is basically a collection of links to all the top news stories of the day, including many top columnists across the country. A little snark here and there but nothing like CNN (which I agree has become trite and tasteless).
CNN.com is currently announcing “BACK WITH FAMILY” in a font that’s maybe a point or two smaller than what they’d use if North Korea nuked Washington DC into glass.
Thanks. I was urgently wondering if the cops had decided to just leave the girls chained up in the basement until after the trial was finished
Although I find Google News surprisingly good. I often end up at websites I never would usually check. It’s very good for getting exposed to different viewpoints.
