Please share your three favorite movies that make you roar with laughter!

**Harvey.
**
I can’t choose only two others, but Harvey stands alone at first place in my list. Every word of the dialogue is solid gold.

Groundhog Day
The Court Jester (Danny Kaye)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (though in fairness, Life of Brian is quite possibly more funny).

I do too, and it’s been a very long time since I was 10.

Young Frankenstein
This Is Spinal Tap

Life of Brian

Rat Race.

Napoleon Dynamite.

And Harvey.

“Years ago, my mother used to say to me, she’d say ‘In this world, Elwood, you can be oh so so smart, or oh so pleasant.’ Well, for years I was smart… I recommend pleasant”.
And, as a bonus:

Especially for anyone who wants to see Patrick Warburton and David Spade playing off each other.

Me three with Chicken Run added in too.

Limiting myself to movies that haven’t been mentioned yet, to try to make this a little easier:

UHF

Top Secret!

Bill and Ted (I can’t decide which one)

I too will propose some alternatives:

It’s a Gift
My Cousin Vinnie
Galaxy Quest

Airplane
*Young Frankenstein *(oddly, I don’t find *Blazing Saddles *funny at all)
Animal Crackers.

Year One
Bedazzled (the original with Dudley Moore)
Airplane

I tried to do that, too, but Mean Mr. Mustard sneaked in while I was deciding!

Fargo
The Ice Harvest
Christmas Vacation

The naked gun
borat
dumb and dumber

This is a very tentative list. I’m sure I’ve seen some comedies I’ve totally forgotten about that were much better.

Well, there’s two schools of thought, sir.

Another vote for The Emperor’s New Groove
although I also liked Dudley Do-Right (Brendan Fraser) and really anything with Eric Idle in it.
Also Life of Brian, although that is a bit of a time bomb. The ending is a feels like a downer at first but the next time you get in a serious jam, just start singing the ending song and you will laugh till you pass out.
And The Thin Man but you have to be in the right mood.

There’s Something About Mary
Airplane!
National Lampoons Vacation (the original)
Airplane II isn’t bad either.
The Naked Gun
Stripes
Spaceballs is pretty funny too.

(Sorry, I went over the 3 movie limit but I tried to rank them in rough LOL order).

Airplane! is probably the best laugh out loud comedy of all time but There’s Something About Mary was the one that gave me stomach cramps when I saw it in the movie theater. I still watch it and never get tired of it.

I saw Blazing Saddles for the first time a few days ago. It is a great comedy but it is both oddly dated and reserved even though it tries to go for lots of shock humor. I liked it a lot but I didn’t literally LOL.

High Anxiety
Naked Gun
Analyze This
Meet the Parents
Happy Gilmore ((for the Bob Barker scene)

Three Amigos
Almost anything officially Zucker, Abrahams, or Zucker
Dumb and Dumber

One of us could wedge in Best in Show in place of A Mighty Wind. I’m fine with either.

And you have good taste in yuks.
mmm

My Cousin Vinnie
Bruce Almighty
There’s Something About Mary
